Austin Theory’s run as Mr. Money in the Bank appears to be over when he failed his cash-in on Monday Night RAW.
Seth Rollins came out for the Main Event for his second attempt at the US Title open challenge. Bobby Lashley took out Mustafa Ali backstage before telling Rollins he would be accepting the challenge.
Lashley went on to brutally attacked Rollins before the match officially started. WWE officials eventually forced Lashley to the back. At this point, Theory made the unusual decision to cash in his contract for a guaranteed US title match on a compromised Seth Rollins.
Theory scored several near-falls, but before he could score the pin, Lashley returned and pulled Theory from the ring after the referee went down. After Lashley threw Theory around ringside, the referee began a 10-count, which Theory beat only to slide into a Rollins stomp for the 1-2-3. Rollins retained the title.
