Bianca Belair has defeated Sasha Banks in the main event of WrestleMania 37 Night 1.
Belair had to fight back tears at the start of the match, but Banks quickly locked up and traded some shots and pushes and then hit a series of reversals and counters.
Both women have been incredibly creative with their offense in this one. Bianca has shown off her athleticism and Sasha has used some unique psychology, particularly with the way she’s tried to use Bianca’s long braid against her.
Towards the end of the match, Belair went for the KOD and Banks grabbed the hair. Belair whipped her with the hair that sent an echo throughout the stadium.
They went back and forth with reversals before Belair hit the KOD for the win. This was truly fantastic match that saw both women give it everything in a match that had several convincing false finishes before a classic counter-based finish.
