Seth Rollins opened Raw by challenging Bobby Lashley for the United States championship.
The match was tremendous with a lot of back-and-forth action. Rollins appeared to have the match won. Then, Matt Riddle’s music hit. Riddle ran to the ring but did not interfere, causing enough distraction that Lashley was able to hit a spear on Seth for the win.
Later in the show, Rollins and Riddle were being held apart by officials as they argued. Rollins told Riddle if he wanted a rematch to name the time and place and Riddle made the challenge for a “fight pit” match at Extreme Rules, which Rollins accepted.
