AEW presented Dynamite: Grand Slam 2021 in front of their biggest crowd to date in New York City.
The show kicked off with the PPV level dream match between AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and Bryan Danielson in a non-title singles match. Two men who have often been called the best in the world trying to prove they get to claim that title.

As the bell rings Kenny and Bryan soak in the moment as the crowd cheers. The bell rang and the crowd exploded and they were on their feet from start to finish.
At the end of the match, Danielson avoided a phoenix splash from Omega and hit a flurry of kicks. He stomped Omega’s face several times before rolling him into the LeBell Lock. Omega used the ropes to escape and the two exchanged strikes until the bell sounded to indicate a 30 minute time limit draw.

Adam Cole and The Young Bucks then came down to the ring and hit a triple superkick to Danielson before Christian and Jurassic Express cleared the ring.
This match had the definition of a big fight feel despite not being for the AEW Championship and the fans definitely helped make it feel special.
