At AEW WrestleDream, Bryan Danielson is set to square off against Zack Sabre Jr., the reigning NJPW World Television Champion.
The match had initially been slated for the Forbidden Door event in June 2022. However, a setback due to an injury sustained by Danielson led to the cancellation of the match. As a substitute, Sabre would go on to face Claudio Castagnoli in the Swiss wrestler’s AEW debut, which Sabre lost.
AEW WrestleDream will take place on October 1, 2023, at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington.
