In a recent social media update, Bryan Danielson shared the news he underwent successful surgery on his arm two weeks ago.
During the procedure, a steel rod and nine screws were implanted in his arm. Although he is currently on the path to recovery, he refrained from specifying a definitive timetable for his return.
Danielson suffered the injury during the main event of the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view last month, when Kazuchika Okada executed a diving elbow drop on him.
In the subsequent post-show press conference, “The American Dragon” confirmed the injury, initially believing it to be a forearm fracture that would require a recovery period of six-to-eight weeks. However, Bryan’s wife, Brie Garcia, later shared x-ray images of his arm, revealing a more severe condition than just a fracture.
Also, to give everyone an update before #AEWDynamite, I got surgery on my arm about two weeks ago, where they put in a steel rod and 9 screws. Surgery went well and I’m on the road to recovery. Thank you all for the support, and check out #BloodAndGuts tonight! pic.twitter.com/6lKHsZk65f
