According to a report from PW Insider, Cesaro has quietly exited the WWE after his contract expired.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com noted the “the two sides had been in negotiations but had not come to terms on a new agreement.”
Because of the contract expiring, there is no 90-day non compete and Cesaro is free to working for any wrestling promotion at any time.
Cesaro last wrestled on the February 11 edition of SmackDown, losing to Happy Baron Corbin. The Swiss star had only wrestled just 5 matches in 2022, and lost all of them.
Cesaro signed with WWE in 2011 and was a a five-time RAW/WWE Tag Team Champion, a two-time SmackDown Tag Team Champion, and a one-time WWE United States Champion. He also won the inaugural Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 30 in 2014.
