WWE continues its trend of spending big to retain its top talent, and Charlotte Flair is the latest prominent figure to capitalize on this strategy.
As reported by Fightful Select, Flair has recently signed a new long-term contract with WWE. The report states, “Flair agreed to a contract extension with WWE recently that will keep her with WWE for several more years…It is a huge money increase over her last contract and one of the highest-paid deals to a woman in WWE history.”
Notably, the agreement goes beyond financial compensation, as “a travel bus was included in the deal,” mirroring the perks often associated with other top-tier contracts. Despite Flair facing an anticipated absence of at least nine months due to a significant knee injury, WWE has taken measures to secure her commitment for the foreseeable future.
Charlotte made her debut in WWE’s main roster in July 2015. Her debut took place on the RAW after WrestleMania 31, where she, along with Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch, was called up from WWE’s developmental brand, NXT.
Flair has had a highly successful career and has achieved numerous accolades in WWE. She is a multiple-time Women’s Champion, having held the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships.
