The clash wastes no time as Rhodes quickly finds himself in Suplex City, but he shows remarkable resilience and immediately mounts a counterattack, catching Lesnar off guard. He retaliates with a series of offensive moves, forcing Lesnar back into the corner where he delivers punishing shoulders to the gut.
Later in the match, Lesnar effortlessly hurled Rhodes from one side of the ring to the other. The intensity escalated when Rhodes faced his first near-defeat, summoning all his strength to roll back into the ring just in the nick of time, avoiding a count-out after enduring a F-5 at ringside.
Lesnar’s dominance continued as he unleashed a second thunderous F-5, this time sending Rhodes crashing onto the announcers’ table. Despite the tremendous impact, Rhodes miraculously crawled back into the ring before the 10-count could seal his fate.
Rhodes clung desperately to a turnbuckle, tearing it off the corner as Lesnar launched another brutal German suplex. Rhodes managed to shift the momentum in his favor by sidestepping Lesnar at ringside and striking him with a brutal blow using the steel steps.
Back in the ring, Rhodes attempted to execute the Cross Rhodes, but Lesnar countered with a kimura. Rhodes, refusing to succumb to the pain, reached the ropes to force a break. Rhodes then capitalized on Lesnar’s collision with the padless turnbuckle, seizing the opportunity to lock in his own kimura submission.
Rhodes then escaped an impending F-5 and executed a trio of Cross Rhodes securing a well-deserved victory. Following the match, Lesnar embraced Rhodes, shook his hand, and raised it in victory.
