Drew McIntyre “I’m staying with WWE for the foreseeable future.”

Former World Heavyweight Champion Drew McIntyre is happy where he is. Amidst speculation about his future after his WWE contract ended, McIntyre has successfully secured a new deal with the WWE, continuing his tenure since 2017. On the Pat McAfee show, he confirmed he never intended to leave.

“I’m staying with WWE for the foreseeable future,” McIntyre said. “I wasn’t going anywhere, for anybody out there who was unsure, reading internet rumors or whatever. We were just in a place where I just had to get things right for my family. I got with Nick Khan, I got with Triple H, and they were so understanding. And we got things right for the future. Drew McIntyre was never going to go away from WWE.”

Earlier this week, The Rock congratulated McIntyre on his new deal, sending him a sword during a meal with WWE’s Nick Khan. Discussing his contract, McIntyre aimed to motivate others, reflecting on his temporary exit from WWE in the 2010s before making a comeback and achieving a satisfying position within the promotion.

“You gotta keep fighting, you gotta keep pushing forward,” he said. “Leave no stone unturned. Put the work in. Be accountable to the person in the mirror. You can do freakin’ anything, I’ve done it time and time again. This is the most recent incident of it.”
