Earlier in the evening, a behind-the-scenes clip captured Iyo Sky, Kairi Sane, and Asuka exchanging harsh words about Bayley in English, unaware that Bayley was overhearing their conversation from behind a door.
Later, with the exception of Dakota Kai, the rest of Damage CTRL gathered in the ring for an announcement from Bayley. After considering her next move, Bayley surprised Asuka, Sane, and Sky by addressing them in Japanese, revealing she had been aware of their backstabbing for months.
Bayley told them that she’s not oblivious and she knows that they’ve been talking about her behind her back.
“You guys talk about me constantly. Why? All I wanted was for Damage CTRL to be the best,” Bayley said. “All I wanted was to take this to the top to WrestleMania. And I wanted to do that together. But you guys see nothing in me, do you? Huh? IYO, what happened? When you, me, and Dakota [Kai] started this, we were like this. Ever since they came around, you turned your back on me. What happened?”
She directly confronted Sky about their fallout, only to be ambushed by Sane and Asuka. Bayley managed to fend off the attack using a metal pipe, hesitated before striking Sky, and then Bayley officially declared that she’ll be challenging SKY at WrestleMania.
