Jade Cargill signs multi-year deal with WWE

WWE today announced it has signed Jade Cargill to a multi-year contract.

The official confirmation of the signing validates the weeks of speculation surrounding Cargill’s move to WWE following the conclusion of her contract with AEW. WWE has announced that Cargill will start her training at their performance center in Orlando. However, it remains uncertain whether her initial appearance will be in the developmental NXT or if she will make her debut on the main roster in either “Raw” or “Smackdown.”

Cargill is best known for her time in All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Cargill signed with the company in November 2020, making her in-ring debut on the November 25 episode of AEW Dynamite.

She quickly became one of the most popular wrestlers in the company, due to her athleticism, charisma, and good looks. On January 5, 2022, Cargill defeated Ruby Soho in the finals of the AEW TBS Championship tournament to become the inaugural champion. She held the title for over a year, before losing it to Athena on March 8, 2023.
