John Cena Announces He’ll Host WWE Payback

John Cena made his grand return to WWE SmackDown, and announced that he would host WWE Payback on Saturday, September 2.

Cena kicked off the September 1st edition of Friday Night SmackDown, and extended his gratitude to the audience for their support these last 20 years. He also announced that he would be wrestling his first match in India at WWE Superstar Spectacle on September 8th from the G.M.C. Balayogi Indoor Stadium in Gachibowli, Hyderabad.

John Cena’s address was then interrupted by Jimmy Uso. Jimmy reiterated his betrayal of  Jay Uso at WWE SummerSlam, explaining it was to prevent his brother from being influenced by Roman Reigns. However, Jimmy also directed his criticism at Cena, saying he did not want his brother to be corrupt like him.

Jimmy Uso pointed out that the sole difference between John Cena and Roman Reigns was that Cena always wore a smile on his face. John Cena then retorted by stating that the wrong Uso had left WWE. This remark caused Jimmy Uso to attempt an attack on Cena, but his efforts were stopped as Cena delivered an Attitude Adjustment to him.
