John Cena being advertised for WWE Crown Jewel

John Cena is being advertised for WWE’s next event in Saudi Arabia, which takes place on Saturday, November 4 and will stream live on Peacock/WWE Network. The show will mark the 10th show in WWE’s decade-long deal with Saudi Arabia that began in 2018.

On Saturday, the official social media channels of Riyadh Season in Saudi Arabia shared a video to promote this year’s government-backed festival. Within the video, an announcement was made confirming that John Cena will be taking part in WWE Crown Jewel.

The upcoming occasion marks Cena’s return to competition in Saudi Arabia, following his participation in the inaugural event, ‘The Greatest Royal Rumble,’ in April 2018. Although Cena was initially promoted for the November Crown Jewel event, he ultimately withdrew from the WWE World Cup, making way for Bobby Lashley to step in. This decision was purportedly influenced by Cena’s reluctance to participate in the show, which came amidst the controversy surrounding the tragic murder of Jamal Khashoggi.
