Tonight’s main event for NXT TakeOver: In Your House was the much anticipated Fatal 5-Way between NXT Champion Karrion Kross and his four challengers, which included Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, Johnny Gargano, and Pete Dunne.
At the end of the match, Adam Cole almost won the match on Gargano with the Panama Sunrise but Dunne pulled Cole out of the ring and then he hit a brain buster outside of the ring.
Moments later, Gargano hit Dunne with the One Final Beat but Kross caught Gargano in the chokehold but Cole broke it up and then O’Reilly hit Kross with the knee off the top to the back of the head. He was about to pin Kross until Adam Cole caught him with a Superkick. Cole then went for Last Shot on O’Reilly but Kyle O’Reilly rolled through and locked in the Heel Hook on his former friend.
Cole was close to tapping out, when Kross locked in the Krossjacket on Kyle. O’Reilly faded before Cole tapped and the official called for the bell.
As NXT went off the air, McKenzie Mitchell caught up with a tearful William Regal and the general manager said after seven years, it’s time for a change.
