LA Knight and New York Knicks’ Jalen Brunson force Indiana Pacers’ Tyrese Haliburton and Logan Paul from the ring

On the June 28 episode of WWE SmackDown, an NBA rivalry spilled over into WWE as Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton accompanied WWE United States Champion Logan Paul to the ring.

Haliburton, known for his victories in Madison Square Garden, confronted Jalen Brunson of the New York Knicks who was sitting on the crowd. During Paul’s Money in the Bank qualifying match against LA Knight and Santos Escobar, Haliburton nearly handed Paul brass knuckles, but Brunson intervened, allowing Knight to pin Paul for the win.

After the match, Paul and Haliburton tried to attack Knight, but Brunson saved him with a chair, forcing Paul and Haliburton to retreat. Haliburton, an avid wrestling fan, had previously appeared on WWE programming, including the June 24 episode of WWE RAW.
