Lance Archer wins IWGP United States Championship on AEW Dynamite

The main event for last night’s AEW Dynamite was Jon Moxley defending NJPW’s IWGP US Heavyweight Championship against Lance Archer in a Texas Deathmatch.

The match delivered a lot of bloody violence and was a rematch from Wrestle Kingdom 14, where Moxley regained the title from Archer after having it stripped from him due to travel issues.

At the end of the match, Moxley was stabbed repeatedly by a fork and then put through a barbed wire table, which lead to the 1,2,3. Archer will now defend the title against Hikuleo (Haku’s son) on next week’s show.

Moxly had the title for a record 565 days as he successfully defended it against Juice Robinson, Minoru Suzuki, Kenta, Yuji Nagata and Karl Anderson prior to a Texas Death Match rematch with Archer.
