Months after he requested his release from the company, Mustafa Ali has returned to the WWE on tonight’s RAW from Knoxville, Tennessee.
Ali made his return tonight during a Miz TV segment with Austin Theory. Fans chanted “welcome back” at Ali as he got in the ring.
The two made jokes about Ali with the Miz wondered if he still “worked here.” Ali then suggested an open challenge for the United States Championship but Theory declined.
Ali then cut a promo on Theory where he said that Theory is “all biceps and no balls.” This ended with Miz taking on Ali instead. The Miz said that he was going to make Mustafa Ali wish that McMahon gave him his “walking papers.”
Ali hadn’t appeared on the WWE since October 29, 2021, when he lost to Drew McIntyre. He had an argument with Vince McMahon over his creative direction that led to him being off television.
