Nikki Cross appeared on Monday Night Raw this week and debuted a new superhero persona as she teamed up with Alexa Bliss to defeat Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler in a Women’s Money In the Bank Ladder Match qualifier.
Since then both Cross have went on social media to shed some new light on the gimmick, including what it was originally going to look like and how long Cross has been working on it.
Nikki Cross seems to be very happy about her new persona and sent out tweets to explain the new character.
I’m so glad I can talk about this now. 😁
I helped @NikkiCrossWWE pitch this idea a few months back. I’m so happy to see it brought to life. 😁 https://t.co/JeXnHY19fy pic.twitter.com/lgvlvIuqE8

Bringing THIS to life has given me such joy. The roll I have been on @wwe gave me the boost I needed to unveil this to the 🌎 , that everyone has that spark and they can try anything they want to, just listen to your heart.

I don’t have superpowers. I can’t fly. I don’t have super strength.
But putting on my mask, my cape, my gauntlets, my armband, my whole outfit on……makes me feel like I can try anything.
I might fall down. But il get back up, each and every time. We all will. #WWERaw @WWE https://t.co/2mA8P5Yo7j
