Nick Aldis is the new General Manager of SmackDown

During the WWE SmackDown episode on October 13, Triple H announced that Adam Pearce would no longer serve as the WWE Official for both WWE Raw and WWE SmackDown. Instead, he has been appointed as the WWE General Manager for Raw. Assuming the responsibilities on SmackDown is the newcomer, Nick Aldis.

Aldis came to the ring and expressed his gratitude to WWE for granting him this opportunity. He then announced that he had successfully finalized the Jey Uso trade from WWE Payback, officially welcoming Kevin Owens to the WWE SmackDown roster.

Aldis is a former World Champion for both the NWA and TNA Wrestling. Aldis ended his time with Impact Wrestling this July, when he lost to Impact World Champion Alex Shelley at Slammiversary.
