The scheduled date for the highly anticipated Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar III has been unveiled.
After an intense rivalry that saw both competitors claim one victory each, the decisive showdown, commonly referred to as the rubber match, is set to take place at SummerSlam 2023, Dave Meltzer revealed on Monday morning’s edition of Wrestling Observer Radio.
“Got big news. Brock Lesnar vs. Cody Rhodes is SummerSlam. SummerSlam, Ford Field. The match number three. I presume he’s (Rhodes) going to win too. He should win,” Meltzer stated.
SummerSlam will take place on Saturday, August 5 from Ford Field in Detroit. The event marks the first WWE event to be held at Ford Field since WrestleMania in 2007 and the first SummerSlam to take place in the state of Michigan since 1993.
