Rey Mysterio had successful knee surgery on October 25, 2023. The surgery was performed by Dr. Jeffrey Dugas at the Andrew’s Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham, Alabama.
This is Mysterio’s 13th knee surgery. He has a long history of left knee injuries, dating back to his early career in Mexico. He has also had several surgeries on his right knee.
Mysterio has been wrestling for over 30 years and is considered one of the greatest high-flyers of all time. He is a two-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion and a four-time WWE Tag Team Champion.
Due to the recent surgery, Mysterio is expected to be sidelined for six to nine months. Despite these challenges, he remains determined to return to the WWE in 2024. He has said that he plans to continue wrestling until his body no longer allows him to do so.
