On Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, there was a surprise moment when Ric Flair unexpectedly showed up and joined Sting and Tony Schiavone in the ring.
Flair showered praise on Sting, describing him as one of the nicest individuals in the world of professional wrestling. Flair said that he couldn’t decline the invitation extended by Tony Khan, and he wanted to be along for the ride with Sting until the retirement at Revolution. He also reminisced about their memorable match on TBS during the inaugural Clash of the Champions event in 1988.
During the promo, Christian Cage interrupted and, while poking fun at Flair, extended a challenge to Sting and Darby Allin for a three-on-three match. Sting responded by confirming that they would be scouting for a third partner to face off against Cage, Luchasaurus, and Nick Wayne.
