Ricochet and Santos Escobar competed on Smackdown in the final of the SmackDown World Cup for a chance to fight GUNTHER for the intercontinental championship.
The match was a premium live event-worthy encounter that tore the house down with a pair of extraordinary performances.
In the closing moment of the match, Ricochet hit the 630 splash from the top rope to win the match and the World Cup. Ricochet will now face Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship on December 16th in Chicago.
Ricochet defeated Mustafa Ali and Braun Strowman to secure his spot in the tournament’s final round. Escobar beat Shinsuke Nakamura and Butch to reach the tournament’s final match.
