Merely a month after commemorating 1000 days as the WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns finds himself celebrating yet another monumental milestone. Reigns has now surpassed the 1027-day title reign of Pedro Morales. This makes Reigns current reign the fifth-longest World Championship reign in history.
With Reigns extending to an impressive 1028 days, he is now only behind Bruno Sammartino’s second reign (1,237 days) Hulk Hogan’s first reign (1,474 days) Bob Backlund’s first reign (2,135 days) and Sammartino’s first reign (2,803 days.)
Reigns won a Triple Threat Match at WWE Payback 2020 over Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt to win the WWE Universal Championship. Reigns then defeated Brock Lesnar to unify the WWE Universal Championship with the WWE Championship to become the WWE Undisputed Universal Champion last year at WrestleMania 38.
