Roman Reigns retains the Undisputed WWE Universal title thanks to Jimmy Uso

In a clash of family, the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns defends his title and is looking to assert his dominance as the “Tribal Chief.” against his defiant cousin, Jey Uso, who comes into the match with a surge of momentum and determination.

Reigns physically silenced the Ford Field crowd, who were passionately chanting for Uso, as he punished him with a kendo stick, symbolically expressing his disapproval of Uso’s defiance.

Despite enduring a relentless beating, Jey showed incredible resilience, countering Reigns’ signature spear with a well-timed kendostick shot. He continued to fight back, showcasing his agility with a stunning front flip dive over the ropes onto Reigns at ringside.

The match saw intense back-and-forth action, with both competitors pulling out all the stops. Reigns scored the first near fall after catching Uso midair with a Superman Punch. Uso swung the momentum in his favor with a super kick and Uso Splash.

Throughout the match, Reigns’ history-making reign as universal champion was bolstered by the support of The Bloodline, and SummerSlam was no exception. Solo Sikoa emerged from the crowd and attacked Uso, providing a crucial distraction that allowed Reigns to gain an advantage. However, later in the match Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso’s twin brother, appeared as a masked assailant and assaulted Jey Uso and threw him into the ring for an awaiting Roman. Reigns capitalized and ultimately secured the victory, ensuring his reign as the undisputed WWE Universal Champion and Tribal Chief.
