Roman Reigns to Defend Title Against LA Knight at WWE Crown Jewel

WWE has officially announced that Roman Reigns, the reigning Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, is set to defend his title against LA Knight in the match event of WWE Crown Jewel next month.

The stage for this match was set last week on WWE SmackDown, when John Cena introduced Knight as the next contender with hopes of dethroning Reigns.

This marks a significant milestone for LA Knight, as it will be his first world title match in WWE. LA Knight burst onto the WWE scene when he inked a deal with the company in 2021 and has spent just over a year on the main roster. Prior to joining WWE, LA Knight wrestled as Eli Drake in various promotions, including Impact Wrestling and NWA. His most recent world championship reign occurred in the former organization, as he held the title of Impact World Champion in 2017.

Reigns hasn’t put his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on the line since WWE SummerSlam on August 5. His comeback to the squared circle occurred at a live event on October 14, during which he successfully defended his title against Sami Zayn.
