Samoa Joe is making his long-awaited return to in-ring competition for an NXT Championship match against Karrion Kross at TakeOver 36.
On Tuesday night’s NXT, Joe resigned as the enforcer of NXT and signed a contract to join the active roster. Then, as a result of Kross’ brutal attack on Regal last week, Joe received an NXT Championship match with “The Herald of Doomsday.”
This will be Joe’s first match since February 10, 2020, when he competed in an eight-man tag team match on WWE RAW.
This is the second match to be announced for TakeOver 36, with Walter already set to defend his NXT United Kingdom Championship against Ilja Dragunov.
