Seth Rollins Earns WWE Title Match on Raw

Monday night saw the “season premiere” of WWE Raw, a show that featured major roster changes as the results of the recent WWE Draft.

Big E kicked off the show on Monday, and gave praise to Drew McIntyre who he defeated at Crown Jewel and asked who was next before Rollins made his way down to the ring. Big E said Rollins’ loss to Edge sent him to the back of the line, but Rollins continued to push for a title shot . This prompted Rey Mysterio, Finn Balor and Kevin Owens to also enter the mix to tout their own accomplishments in a bid for a title shot.

WWE official Sonya Deville then announced a Fatal 4-Way Ladder match to determine who will face Big E for the WWE Championship at a later date.

The match was brutal and violent and saw the expected level of chaos, with ladders coming into play early and often.

Towards the end of the match, Rollins sent Owens flying through a ladder suspended between the ring and the announce table. He then was able to stop Balor as he was attempting to ascend a ladder, driving him to the floor and hitting a stomp. With the way cleared, Rollins then climbed the ladder and grabbed the contract to win the match, giving him a future title opportunity against Big E.
