Superstar Billy Graham placed on Life Support

WWE Hall of Famer Superstar Billy Graham is on life support after months of health issues while in the hospital.

Valerie Coleman, the wife of the WWE Hall of Famer shared a sad update on her husband’s health status. The following was posted on his Facebook page: 

“From Billy’s wife Valerie: Please urgent prayers needed for my husband. The doctors wanted to remove him from life support tonight, I refused. He’s a fighter and his will is strong even if his body isn’t. God is our hope.”

Coleman is currently suffering from congestive heart failure, diabetes, significant weight loss and infections to both his ears and skull.

The 79-year-old Graham, whose real name is Wayne Coleman, made his professional wrestling debut in 1970. He quickly rose through the ranks, and in 1972 he signed with the American Wrestling Association (AWA). In the AWA, Graham won the AWA World Heavyweight Championship twice.

In 1975, he signed with the World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF). In the WWWF, Graham won the WWWF Heavyweight Championship twice. He also held the WWWF Tag Team Championship with Pedro Morales.

Graham retired from professional wrestling in 1988. He has since worked as a motivational speaker and author. He has also appeared in several films and television shows.
