Tony Khan Provides Bryan Danielson’s Arm Injury Update

During the main event of the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view last month, Bryan Danielson suffered an apparent arm injury when Kazuchika Okada executed a diving elbow drop on him.

In the subsequent post-show press conference, “The American Dragon” confirmed the injury, initially believing it to be a forearm fracture that would require a recovery period of six-to-eight weeks. However, Bryan’s wife, Brie Garcia, later shared x-ray images of his arm, revealing a more severe condition than just a fracture.

AEW president Tony Khan further confirmed this unfortunate update during a media conference call on Tuesday, acknowledging that the injury was worse than initially anticipated.

“It’s been a little bit worse than anybody anticipated, and I don’t want to put an exact timeline on it. But Bryan is in the process of recovering. We can get into more details on it at a later date,” Khan said.

Unfortunately, the injury forced Danielson to be sidelined from this week’s Blood & Guts Match. However, Khan highlighted the positive aspect that it provided the company with an opportunity to bring Pac back from his own injury and involve him in the match.

“Nobody works harder on their body and themselves than Bryan does, I have full confidence that Bryan will be back from this as soon as he possibly can,” Khan concluded.
