WWE Backlash is an annual pay-per-view event that has been a staple of WWE programming since 1999. Over the years, the event has played host to some of the biggest and most memorable matches in WWE history.

This year’s WWE Backlash, WWE will return to Puerto Rico with three-time Grammy-winner Bad Bunny hosting the show from his home country. The show will feature Cody Rhodes, Brock Lesnar, Sami Zayn and The Bloodline and will mark WWE’s first major event in Puerto Rico since the company traveled to the island for New Year’s Revolution event in 2005.

  1. WWE Backlash 2000

WWE Backlash 2000 is widely considered to be the best Backlash events in history. The PPV featured a WWE Championship between The Rock and Triple H. The match was a masterpiece of storytelling and featured some incredible action, with The Rock eventually emerging victorious.

2. WWE Backlash 2007

The main event of Backlash 2007 was a Fatal Four-Way match for the WWE Championship, which saw John Cena defend his title against Randy Orton, Edge, and Shawn Michaels. Another memorable match was a Last Man Standing match between The Undertaker and Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship. The match was a brutal affair, with both men using everything at their disposal to try and knock each other out for the ten count. One of the most anticipated matches of the night was the main event, which saw Batista defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Triple H in a singles match.
