CM Punk appeared in AEW’s Daily’s Place home base in Jacksonville, Florida for the first time on tonight’s AEW Dynamite.
As CM Punk was mocking MJF, he referenced how MJF was a bigger waste of “Khan money” than Tim Tebow. All Elite Wrestling is owned by Shad Khan and his son, Tony Khan, is the CEO. Shad Khan also owns the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Punk’s shot is in reference to Tebow’s very brief Jaguars stint under Urban Meyer this year. The former NFL quarterback, who’d been out of the league since 2015, returned to Jacksonville as a tight end during training camp. Not shockingly, Tebow didn’t make the team.
