On last night’s Raw, Becky Lynch was in the ring cutting a promo about her match with Charlotte Flair at Survivor Series before new No. 1 contender Liv Morgan came to the ring.
Becky showed Morgan some footage from an episode of Talking Smack in which Morgan recalled once being endorsed by Lynch. The Raw Women’s Champion went on to explain how wrong she actually was, prompting Morgan to fight her off and remind Becky that she is coming for her title.
Becky is due to defend her Raw women’s championship against Charlotte Flair at Survivor Series. Flair and Lynch have a long and storied history. The two Superstars are said to have real-life “heat” with one another after a tense segment on SmackDown in October, where they swapped title belts after switching brands.
Becky was a guest on the “Sports Illustrated Media Podcast” this week, and was asked about reports that she and Flair had a backstage incident after Lynch allegedly went off-script and Flair felt disrespected.
“I don’t know, man,” Lynch said. “We don’t talk anymore. We don’t talk. So all I’ll say is the locker room needs a hero sometimes. And sometimes somebody’s gotta be a hero. I’m all right being that hero. That’s what I’ll say on that matter.”
