Watch – MJF leaves CM Punk in a pool of blood

On Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, CM Punk came out to the ring and cut a promo on MJF with no shortage of WWE references.

Punk said that MJF reminds him of himself when he was younger. Punk said that his own exit from WWE was similar to Steve Austin’s exit but how “after much lesser men framed him and said he ‘took his ball and went home,’ I didn’t get mad at the world.”

Punk went on to ask MJF to take accountability for doing horrible things, while making references to his storylines with Jeff Hardy and The Undertaker. “I’ve done horrible things, I used to be you,” Punk said. “I was so full of hate. I once poured alcohol down an alcoholic’s throat. I covered a legendary wrestler’s body with the ashes of his dead and beloved manager. I mocked a wrestler’s issues with addiction until he lost his job because of it.”

Later in the segment MJF hugged Punk but then hit him with a low blow and attacked him. FTR, Wardlow, and Shawn Spears came out to help fend off officials as MJF proceeded to bust Punk’s head open and leave him covered in blood with the dog collar wrapped around his neck.
