WWE WrestleMania 39 is bringing in huge sponsorship revenue for the two-night Premium Live Event.
Speaking with The Associated Press, Craig Stimmel, WWE’s senior vice president and head of global sales and partnerships, said that sponsorship revenue for this year’s event has doubled to more than $20 million, a record for any WWE event.
WrestleMania 39 has 12 sponsors, half of them returning from last year’s event. Companies such as Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Pepsi, Take Two, and Mars/Snickers being named as sponsors. Previously in February, it was reported that sponsorship revenue for the event was between $14 million to $15 million.
Stimmel said WWE will incorporate corporate brands into this year’s WrestleMania in a multitude of ways, including a match sponsorship.
WrestleMania 39 will take place from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on Saturday, April 1, and Sunday, April 2, at 8 ET/5 PT. The main event of WrestleMania 39 will be Roman Reigns defending the Undisputed WWE Universal Title against Cody Rhodes on Night Two.
