WWE Home Video To End Production

The WWE will no longer release DVDs and Blu-rays in the US, Australia and Canada after 2021. The last physical media release is set to be Survivor Series 2021, which will be released on December 28.  There’s also a Drew McIntyre-themed home video still slated to get the physical media treatment arriving two weeks before on December 14.

WWE DVDs have been available since 1999 beginning with WrestleMania 15 and a set featuring “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. WWE’s home video releases date back to 1985, releasing VHS tapes through Coliseum Video. The company’s video distribution company was later renamed to WWE Home Video.

An exact reason for WWE stopping the DVDs is unknown at the time. Although, with WWE content available on Peacock for fans in the United States and WWE Network internationally, the company may see the DVDs as unnecessary.
