WWE Raw results from May 20, 2024

In the latest episode of Raw, Gunther and Lyra Valkyria won their semifinal matches, securing spots in the finals of the King and Queen of the Ring tournament. Gunther defeated Jey Uso in the main event, while Valkyria achieved a victory over former women’s world champion Iyo Sky. They will find out their opponents after Friday’s SmackDown, with the finals set for a live event on Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.


  • Chad Gable won over Sami Zayn using Chaos Theory to secure a pinfall in a non-title match. Throughout the match, Gable was visibly frustrated as the other Alpha Academy members. His frustration peaked when he slapped Otis, who then intervened by clotheslining Zayn, setting up Gable’s victory.
  • Bron Breakker defeated Kale Dixon by referee stoppage after delivering two devastating spears, the only moves he executed before the match was halted. Still upset about being excluded from the King of the Ring tournament, Breakker attacked Dixon post-match with another spear and a steel chair to the head, while Dixon’s head rested on the ring steps. Later, Breakker also attacked Ricochet backstage after he interrupted an interview.
  • In the World Tag Team Championship, the defending champions, Awesome Truth, overcame Judgment Day (JD McDonagh & Finn Balor) when R-Truth performed an Attitude Adjustment on McDonagh for the pinfall. Carlito’s attempt to interfere was thwarted by Braun Strowman, who supported Awesome Truth in retaining their titles.
  • Ludwig Kaiser gave a backstage interview, labeling Sheamus a “keyboard warrior” and expressing curiosity over whether Sheamus would simply disappear or return for a confrontation.
  • Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan had a tense verbal exchange after Morgan disrupted Lynch’s promo. The discussion centered around their upcoming match at the King and Queen of the Ring, with Lynch challenging Morgan to fight immediately. Morgan declined, opting to wait until Saturday.
  • In the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship No. 1 Contender Match, Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark emerged victorious against Ivy Nile & Maxxine Dupri, Katana Chance & Kayden Carter, and Dakota Kai & Kairi Sane. Baszler secured the win by pinning Dupri.
  • Drew McIntyre, in another backstage interview, claimed a strategic victory over Damian Priest by persuading him to agree to a future title shot. McIntyre also criticized Priest for being overextended due to the ongoing tensions within Judgment Day.
