WWE Raw Sees Viewer Spike Amid Lack of NBA Competition

With no NBA on TV, WWE Raw experienced a significant increase in viewership, reaching 1.74 million viewers and scoring a 0.56 rating in the 18-49 demographic. These figures represent the show’s best performance in the past five weeks, a period marked by strong sports competition.

On the same night, Raw was only outperformed by an NHL game between Vancouver and Edmonton, which attracted 1.66 million viewers and a 0.58 demographic rating. Additionally, a WNBA game featuring Caitlan Clark earlier in the evening drew 1.56 million viewers and a 0.42 rating.

This week’s Raw viewership was up by nine percent overall and six percent in the key demographic compared to the previous week. When compared to the same period last year, when Raw competed against an NBA game featuring the Lakers vs. Nuggets—drawing 8.21 million viewers and a 2.83 in the 18-49 demographic—this year’s figures show a six percent increase in viewers and a five percent rise in the demographic.

Looking ahead, Raw is expected to face NBA playoff competition this coming Monday. However, the show might gain an additional audience boost following the King & Queen of the Ring event. With this being the final NBA playoff game scheduled on a Monday night for the season, Raw’s ratings are anticipated to strengthen leading up to the Olympics.
