WWE Reportedly Discussing Brock Lesnar Return

Brock Lesnar and WWE have been in recent talks about Lesnar’s return to the company, with hopes that it could be imminent.

According to Mat Men podcast host Andrew Zarian, WWE “wanted Brock for SummerSlam, but that plan didn’t work out. I believe it was creative-wise, it just wasn’t fitting. Financially, they want Brock to commit to live shows. They are working it out, it’s gonna happen.”

Brock’s WWE contract expired last August and, at that time, Lesnar’s merchandise was removed from WWE Shop. It was expected Lesnar would eventually return to WWE, despite not re-signing.

Lesnar has not appeared for WWE since losing the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36 in April 2020.

With WWE set to return to touring live events next week, Lesnar is a prominent name who WWE could help the company fill seats. Lesnar is arguably WWE’s top special attraction. The biggest question is whether or not Lesnar will commit to working live events as WWE reportedly wants him to whenever he does come back.
