WWE SmackDown Ratings Drop on June 7, Demographic Numbers Decline

The latest episode of WWE SmackDown on Fox drew an audience of 2.207 million viewers, marking a slight decrease of 4.5 percent from the previous week, yet securing it as the second-highest viewership since April 19. Despite the dip, SmackDown ranked fifth in total viewers among network TV shows for the night.

In the key demographic of 18-49, SmackDown led with a robust 0.61 rating, outperforming its nearest competitor, ABC’s Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, by a significant 65 percent. Although this rating saw a 6.2 percent drop from last week, it remains the second-best figure since May 10. The show benefited from a lack of major sports competition, with no NBA Finals or NHL Stanley Cup Finals games to contend with.

Year-over-year comparisons show that SmackDown’s overall viewership has slightly declined by 3.1 percent, while the 18-49 rating has seen a modest increase of 1.7 percent. Notably, this marks the fourth time in the past five weeks that the show has experienced a year-over-year decline in total viewers.
