Number one contender's match set for WWE SmackDown New Year's Revolution

A triple threat match to determine the next challenger for Roman Reigns’ Undisputed Universal Championship is set for WWE SmackDown’s New Year’s Revolution episode.

As announced during Friday’s SmackDown, Randy Orton vs. LA Knight vs. AJ Styles is set for the January 5 show, with the winner moving on to face Roman Reigns for the Undisputed Universal title at Royal Rumble on January 27.

SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis set up the match during a promo segment on SmackDown involving Styles, Orton, and Knight.

The finals of the United States Championship contender’s tournament will also take place on January 5.

  • Undisputed Universal Championship number one contender’s match: Randy Orton vs. LA Knight vs. AJ Styles
