WWE SummerSlam 2023: New Matches Announced

Two matches have been officially announced for WWE SummerSlam, scheduled for Saturday, August 5, 2023.

During Monday’s Raw, Brock Lesnar accepted Cody Rhodes’ challenge for SummerSlam. The tension escalated when, during a show-opening promo from Rhodes, Lesnar launched a fierce attack, leaving Rhodes sprawled in front of his mother.

Adding to SuumerSlam, the World Heavyweight Championship will also be up for grabs as Seth Rollins will once again defend his title against Finn Balor, following their thrilling encounter at Money in the Bank earlier this month. The stage was set for this rematch when they engaged in a backstage promo segment during this week’s Raw.

Ronda Rousey also made a surprise appearance on RAW when she appeared in the crowd and issued a challenge to her former friend, Shayna Baszler, for a SummerSlam match. Although the match hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, it looks like the match will take place.

Additional matches have not been announced yet, but there are ongoing storylines and feuds leading up to the event. Roman Reigns vs. Jey Uso for the Undisputed Universal Championship, Trish Stratus vs. Becky Lynch, and Ricochet vs. Logan Paul have all been teased for SummerSlam.
