WWE Survivor Series 2023 Sets New Records

WWE has announced that Survivor Series 2023, held at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, achieved unprecedented success by establishing new records in its 37-year history. The event boasted record-breaking viewership, the largest gate, and the highest merchandise sales.

Survivor Series saw a 44 percent increase in viewership compared to the previous record set in 2022. The live audience, numbering 17,138, shattered the previous gate record for Survivor Series, surpassing the benchmark set in Brooklyn in 2021.

Survivor Series also set a new all-time merchandise record for the premium live event and a 24 percent increase in sponsorship revenue compared to 2022.

WWE Survivor Series 2023 (WarGames) featured a men’s WarGames match featuring the comeback of Randy Orton, alongside a women’s WarGames match and two championship bouts. GUNTHER defended his Intercontinental Championship against The Miz, while Rhea Ripley protected her WWE Women’s World Championship against Zoey Stark.

The show also saw the unexpected comeback of CM Punk, ending his nearly decade-long hiatus from WWE. Punk’s return has garnered over 71 million views across all platforms, marking it as the most socially viewed post in the company’s history.
